If you are a part of natural TikTok, Homestead TikTok, or Homemade TikTok, I am sure you are becoming aware of all the toxins that are in our foods and everything else our oh-so-caring FDA approves for us (insert eye roll here). From the alluring scents of our cleaners to the quick-fix promises of over-the-counter medications, we’re often surrounded by products that aren’t as benign as they seem. But don’t get overwhelmed yet! Let me give you a little bit of help with some of the knowledge I have learned!

Understanding the Hidden Dangers in Modern Homes:
Imagine this: You’re walking through your home, but beneath the surface, there lie hidden adversaries disguised as everyday essentials. We’re talking about some cleaners that could be more chemical cocktails than cleansers, medications with a side of side effects, food additives that are anything but appetizing, and pet supplies that might not be pawfect for your furry friend. The twist? They all look pretty harmless, hiding behind appealing labels and clever marketing.
The Four Pillars of Home Detoxification:
1. Cleaners: Who doesn’t love a sparkling clean home? But did you know some of those cleaners could be leaving behind more than just shine? From ammonia to phthalates, the list of chemicals can be daunting. Switching to natural cleaners like vinegar and baking soda can be a game-changer for both your health and your home’s sparkle. After I started switching some of our foods and medications to a natural base, bleach suddenly started making me sick! So I switched to vinegar instead of bleach!
2. Medications: Did you know that towards the end of 2023, the FDA came out and said that 90% of our cold and flu medications are just placebos? Therefore they really are not doing anything for us. They are just putting chemicals into our bodies for no reason. It’s the era of the natural medicine cabinet filled with remedies for every ache and pain. Opting for natural remedies like herbal teas or essential oils for minor ailments can be a soothing alternative. And most generally, One tiny oil can be a game changer for all problems, not just one. Example A: black seed oil is known as the curer for everything but death!
3. Food Ingredients: Processed foods can be quick and convenient, but their ingredient lists often read like a chemistry experiment. Become a label detective and choose foods with ingredients you can actually pronounce. This is where cooking at home and learning to cook from scratch can change your life! That is what I mainly write about so if you interested in learning more about that, follow me!
4. Pet Supplies: Our furry friends deserve the best, but sometimes, their products can contain questionable ingredients. Look for natural and organic pet foods and toys to keep them wagging and purring safely. Example A: rawhides are terrible for your dog!
